We had a chance to catch up with Chris Porter, the owner of this 1968 Chevy C10, which he calls Battleship. Here is what he said motivated him to build this truck and where the name originated.

“I have owned Battleship for almost a year. It was built at Carolina Kustoms by Lonnie Thompson in Portland, Oregon. We named the truck “Battleship” in honor of our friend who passed away after a battle with cancer while we were doing the build. After landing on the name, it only seemed fitting to dress it in Lamborghini Battleship grey. The C10 is powered by a GM performance LS3\6l90 engine with a PorterBuilt chassis and AccuAir suspension. It is also equipped with a six-piston Wilwood Brakes system and sits on a set of custom painted American Racing VF482’s. The truck is currently a Goodguys 2018 Truck of the Year Finalist and will make many appearances for the rest of the show season.”
