American Racing is hitting the track in a big way. Starting at the “Battle on the Bricks” at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Gradient Racing #66 Ford Mustang GT3 will debut an all-new livery featuring both American Racing and Hoonigan branding. The partnership doesn’t stop at the track, either. This very same car will make its way to Las Vegas in November, where it will be on display inside the Hoonigan booth at the SEMA Show. It’s a chance for fans and industry insiders to see the latest chapter in American Racing’s motorsports legacy up close.

The American Racing–backed #66 Mustang GT3 will contest the final two rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. First comes Indianapolis, September 18–21, where the “Battle on the Bricks” will test every ounce of the Mustang’s speed and stamina. From there, the season closes with the legendary Petit Le Mans at Road America, October 8–11. Two iconic venues, one statement-making livery, and a chance to see American Racing represented on one of the most competitive stages in GTD racing.

At the core of this effort is Gradient Racing’s talented driver lineup. Till Bechtolsheimer brings both experience and leadership as driver and team backer. He’s joined by Joey Hand, a Ford factory veteran with victories at the highest levels of endurance racing. Rounding out the roster is Mason Filippi, a rising talent set to add speed and fresh energy for the final two endurance rounds. Earlier in the season, Robert Megennis and Ford Junior Team driver Jenson Altzman carried the sprint campaign, proving the Mustang’s pace and adding valuable podium experience.

The timing of this partnership couldn’t be better. Gradient Racing has already shown flashes of the Mustang GT3’s potential, including a season-best sixth-place finish at Watkins Glen. Megennis has logged four GTD podiums since 2021, underscoring the team’s ability to fight at the front. With Filippi stepping in for the endurance push, Gradient Racing is adding firepower exactly where it counts. Together, the team is building momentum and positioning the #66 Mustang as one to watch as the season reaches its climax.

For nearly 70 years, American Racing has stood for motorsports innovation and iconic design. Partnering with Gradient Racing and Ford Performance’s Mustang GT3 program carries that tradition forward. From the high-speed straights of Indy to the demanding distance of Petit Le Mans, and finally to the bright lights of SEMA, the #66 Mustang GT3 embodies what American Racing has always believed — when it comes to pushing boundaries, the Mustang doesn’t quit.
