Mar 06 2012

PLEASANTON, California -- Enthusiasts heading to the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals, where American Racing will be on display, can join a special hot rod cruise.

The cruise departs Goodguys Headquarters in Pleasanton, CA, on Wednesday, March 28th at 8:30 a.m. and arrives in Del Mar the next afternoon. The cruise will travel down scenic Highway 101 (better known as El Camino Real) with stops in Paso Robles and Morro Bay before ending the day in the gorgeous coastal city of Santa Barbara, with stops at hot rod shops and exclusive private collections. On the 29th, cruisers will hit the Goodguys Del Mar Nationals where there will be thousands of candy colored hot rods and customs, tricked out trucks, mighty muscle cars and regal classics.

The Goodguys Rod and Custom Association promotes and produces some of the world’s most dynamic automotive events. Events welcome rods, customs, classics, trucks, street machines and muscle cars through 1972 vintage. American Racing wheels are always a key feature for many of the builds on display and the company will be on-hand with their hospitality rig to take in the scene.

Founded by lifelong hot rodder Gary Meadors in 1983, Goodguys is the world’s largest hot rodding association with over 70,000 active members worldwide. The cars, the vendor exhibits, the adrenaline-pumping Goodguys AutoCross, and colorful people create a festive atmosphere charged with electricity.

Goodguys offers over 20 events annually across the country from the coast to coast and border to border. Our events range from two-day affairs attended by 30,000 to 40,000 people to three day extravaganzas attracting over 100,000 auto enthusiasts.
