American Racing Introduces the Carfiguratorª
Carfigurator.com Designed to Help Customers Find the "Right" Wheels for Their Vehicle
Rancho Dominguez, Calif. Ð American Racing Equipment, Inc., a Platinum Equity company, unveiled its new visual application guide, the Carfigurator TM. A project supported by 50 years of vehicle and wheel expertise, the Carfiguratorª uses vehicle and wheel data to visually show how a wheel will look on a particular vehicle.
"We are very excited to offer the Carfigurator to our customers," said Eric Carr, vice president of marketing and product development at American Racing. "There are always two questions asked when a customer shops for wheels. Will these wheels fit on my car, and how will they look? Now those questions can be answered with a few clicks of a mouse."
The Carfiguratorª is available online as a Macromedia Flash application through American Racing's branded Web sites and at carfigurator.com. The application currently features vehicles from 1999 to present, however additional vehicle images will be added monthly, including vintage and muscle car applications. The Carfiguratorª will initially be available online, however a stand-alone application will also be available for retailers in 2007.
