Born in 1980 Garit was the eldest son of an avid racer, Dave Wallace. Dave helped get Garit's racing career started at a young age in the 80's on a motorcycle. He raced motorcycles well into the 90's and had a great motorcross career. Then in 2002, at the age of 22, Garit decided to start racing on 4 wheels, just like his father had done when he was Garit's age. He purchased a car to compete in the local desert racing series. He raced many events including the M.D.R., S.N.O.R.E., M.O.R.E., and Fud series. Garit has reached the podium in the 1600 class 15 times, he has 2 overall 1st place finishes and was the 2004 M.O.R.E. class 1600 champion and the 2004 M.O.R.E. overall points champion.

After a couple of years off of racing Garit is coming back into racing and has committed to running the full C.O.R.R. series in the Pro Lite division. He is using his knowledge of motocross racing along with his experience behind the wheel of his desert car to race the in a short course setting. After only one weekend of racing, Garit is already making friends with some of the biggest names in CORR racing. CORR veteran Evan Evans was over giving pointers and advice to Garit, and Factory Nissan's rep, Sly Alviar, was also over coming over to speak with Garit after every trip to the track. ATX (American Racing Wheels), Goodyear, and VP fuels all have seen Garit race and represent their products, and have already made commitments to the Race Team for the 2007 season.
