Team Spectrum captured first place in their class, quickly dismissing any doubt about their future Off-Road success. "The sportsman class was a great entry level class, now we are moving right into Class-1 and building a brand new, Ilmor Viper car for the 2007 season," Says Welling. His new Class 1 Ilmor V-10 powered car will showcase advanced technology, elite equipment and a professional crew. He is regarded as an expert in several industries and serves as a product design and equipment testing agent for large corporations such as: Mercury and Douglas Marine. He works side by side with engineers to design and implement racing components, which are later introduced to markets for mainstream use.
