Chris is also one of the catalysts in building the team along with fellow tech Greg Distefano, BR Kellogg, J-Gunn, Cody Stuart, and Azam Flores. The team also boasts a second SCORE Trophy Truck and team member in Arizona's "Pistol" Pete Sohren. Cameron's wife Heidi also races and earned her first class win in June, 2005 at the Baja 500.
The number they have chosen for the Trophy Truck also has a major significance. #16 represents the brotherhood from which this Trophy Truck team was spawned, the limited buggies. Most elite team's drivers have come from the same roots, but while they now close off their pits with banners and ropes the Desert Assassins are working on giving back to those still racing the limited classes in the desert that are powered by 1600cc Volkswagen motors. Coincidently Clyde, Cameron, and Justin all still do race in the very competitive 1600 class, and will be competing in Vegas.
